Specific job responsibilities relevant for this position include: Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. These services are assessment, direct, individual, and group therapy and indirect therapy in the form of consultation and monitoring.
Position requirement: Graduation from an accreditated physical therapy assistant program approved by the AMA and the American Physical Therapy Association. An Associated Degree is required. Job Summary: Applicants must be Highly Qualified.
Highly Qualified means you have met the paraprofessional requirements as defined by No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
The NCLB minimum requirements for paraprofessionals are defined in NCLB Sections 1119(f) and 1119(c)(1) as: High school diploma or GED AND Two years of college (at least 48-semester hour credits); or Associate's (or higher) degree; or Pass the Para Pro Assessment and the Paraprofessional Standards Checklist. It is the responsibility of the applicant to list the specifications of being Highly Qualified in their application and to furnish supporting documentation to the District.

Transcripts from the University/College attended are required to verify highly qualified status for hire. We prefer official transcripts, however we will accept unofficial transcripts if they are in a comprehensible format provided by the university/college and contain all information necessary for determining that all the requirements for meeting highly qualified status have been satisfied.
