Summary:

  • The main function of a mechanical drafter is to prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information.

  • Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

  • Basic knowledge of relevant computer applications, such as CADD (Computer-Aided Design and Drafting)
  • Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office-based programs.

Education/Experience:

  • AAS or Bachelor required
  • 1 years of experience required.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
  • Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
  • Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and automobile body or chassis components.
  • Check the dimensions of the materials to be used and assign numbers to the material.
  • Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
  • Fast-paced highly rewarding opportunity to work with Client custom projects and learn multiple new skills that will aid in personal development.

Interaction with team:

  • Individual will work closely with team members and project lead to identify workload priorities, changes in work requirements, updates to governing standards, and customer needs.

Education & Experience Required:

  • AAS or Bachelor required
  • 1 years of experience required.

Technical Skills
