ExteNet is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Frisco, TX
The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with GAAP. This position will oversee a team of accountants, collaborate closely with other departments, and report directly to the Sr. Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities
- Daily Accounting Operations: Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Financial Close Process: Assist in managing the monthly financial close process, ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, and reviewing journal entries and account balance reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain significant deviations from budget and forecast.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare for and assist with external audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of requested information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information and to support company-wide initiatives.
- Fixed Assets Management: Oversee the accounting for fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the dynamic needs of the accounting team.
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Previous management experience highly preferred
- Experience in public accounting is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
