A comprehensive advisory firm in a desirable coastal market that integrates CPA, Tax and Wealth Management services seeks a Senior Accountant to perform accounting and tax services for our growing organization. The right candidate must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities.

We are not your typical public accounting firm! We offer multiple services to our clients year-round and only accept clients that fit our multi service model. Busy season is February-April with some (6-10 hr/wk) overtime required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and compile data for the preparation of annual income tax returns for business and personal returns
• Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including adjusting journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts
• Review of financial statements prepared by staff accountants and bookkeepers
• Assist with tax research as necessary to support a position
• Engaging regularly with clients and maintaining strong relationships
• Possessing strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations

Education and Experience

• Bachelor s degree in accounting preferred
• 3 years of tax experience preferred
• 3 years accounting experience preferred
• CPA, EA or aspiring CPA, EA preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software
• QuickBooks and tax software (Lacerte, Ultra Tax, CCH) experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Location: Mount Pleasant, SC 29466 (potential hybrid remote after 3 months)
