BARNSCO is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

Reporting: Reports directly to the Customer Service Supervisor or Branch Manager

Purpose: The Inside Sales Position is responsible for providing customer service by taking orders for concrete related products and ensuring a timely delivery or pick up. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and be able to address the customer’s needs and concerns in a manner that is beneficial to Barnsco.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing customers with product specifications and answering technical questions
  • Preparing quotes for credit and cash customers
  • Inputting rebar fabrication orders
  • Handle all account needs for the Outside Sales Representatives
  • Obtaining and confirming prices and freight cost
  • Verifying product availability and status
  • Processing customer sales transactions
  • Setting up and maintaining cash customer accounts
  • Communicating with inventory and purchasing team on products we stock
  • Keeping the showroom neat and clean
  • Handling credits as needed
  • Creating special orders as needed
  • Setting up jobs and pricing
  • Following through with open orders & returns
  • Perform cycle counts as needed and providing to CSS.
  • Perform other duties as required by Customer Service Supervisor or Branch Manager

Required Education & Experience:

  • 2 years of customer service
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Outlook
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales (Preferred)
  • Strong communicator – both in person and on the phone
  • Manages time efficiently
  • Strong problem solver
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish (Preferred)
