Job Summary:
Abbott Skilled Nursing and Rehab is a 46 bed Skilled nursing facility located on the Lynn/Swampscott line and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to oversee our nursing department. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for managing the overall nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards in a friendly, family focused atmosphere.
Duties:
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for patients
- Oversee the management of medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Manage staffing levels, including working with our scheduler as to ensure adequate coverage
- Stay updated on current trends and advancements in nursing practice, incorporating best practices into daily operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license (RN or higher)
- Proven experience in nurse management or nursing administration
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems PCC
