Cook/Prep Job Description

Location: Punta Gorda FL 33950

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team in Cape Coral, FL. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals and desserts according to Dietician approved menus and recipes
• Prep for meals by pulling, thawing, preparing ingredients and setting the following meal service up for success
• Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
• Maintain and record proper food temps during meal service
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Monitor food inventory and assist in dietary ordering
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards
• Wash and sanitize all pots, pans and utensils used during meal service

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cook in an Assisted Living Community or similar setting. 
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with others. 
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to read and write English
