• Design age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with camp objectives and cater to the diverse interests and skill levels of campers.
• Incorporate interdisciplinary approaches to encourage connections between art, theater, and storytelling.
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons on introductory art, exploring various artistic techniques, styles, and traditions from around the world.
• Encourage campers to express themselves creatively through hands-on art projects, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
• Lead workshops on the fundamentals of theater, covering topics such as acting techniques, improvisation, stage presence, and character development.
• Facilitate interactive exercises and games to enhance campers' confidence and performance skills on stage.
• Guide young authors in the process of character creation, setting establishment, and plot development through the use of storyboarding techniques.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help campers develop their unique storytelling voices and narratives.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment where campers feel supported, encouraged, and motivated to explore their creativity.
• Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful space for all participants.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and camp staff to coordinate interdisciplinary projects, performances, and showcases.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper progress, upcoming activities, and any concerns or special accommodations.

• Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in Fine Arts, Theater Arts, Education, or related field at an accredited university.
• Previous experience working with children and teaching art/theater in a camp, classroom, or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge and passion for various artistic traditions, theatrical techniques, and storytelling methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
• Creativity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
