Landaff School is looking for candidates for a part-time administrative assistant for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is to support the administration in the overall operation of the school.Position Duties and Responsibilities Coordination with the personnel at the SAU #35 in the area of payroll, account balances, purchase orders, grants and invoicesOversee day-to-day operationsUpdate the Head Teacher of non-academic activities & eventsFacilitate the planning and maintaining of the facilities - fuel, heating & cooling system, pest control, septicAssist the Head Teacher and custodial staff with purchases, scheduling and other, as needed Support the PTO as neededOversee the disposal of surplus and unclaimed propertyProcess free and reduced applications in customer system, and manage tracking for the Free & Reduced National School Lunch Program, Maintain and manage revenues and expenses for PreschoolProcess Worker Compensation formsFINANCE: Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee and analyze financial operations, manage purchases, expenditures, and billings; mediate between staff and Head Teacher for purchasingCreate and manage all purchase orders for supplies, equipment and servicesDisburse purchases to staff, after accounting for receiptProcess payment of invoices for school board manifest.Oversee financial and statistical performance against budget targets.Work closely with the Principal to make sure expenditures are within the budgetAssist the Head Teacher with the management of Federal Grants. Again work with SAU #35 personnel for managing the activities, workflow and timelines.Budget & Long Term Planning: Coordinate and collect the budget information for all areas budgetDevelop and manage all aspects of district budget including preparation, submission, maintenance, reporting and auditsWork with the Head Teacher to identify, develop and implement proposed year operational plans, and assist in the understanding of trends and expensesParticipate on the Budget CommitteeAnalyze/evaluate data and make appropriate decisions/recommendationsOTHER: Attend Alternate Staff Meetings, Technology Committee Meetings, & Wellness MeetingsPerforms related duties as assignedThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will perform other tasks and assume responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.Terms of Employment: Up to 18 hours per week during he school year, plus additional hours through the end of June and August. Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent oral and communication skills.Highly organized and flexible.Detailed oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy.Computer experience with MS Word, Publisher, Excel and accounting software.Accounting experience.Time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.Ability to work well as a member of the administrative team.
