The White Mountains School Administrative Unit #35 serving the school districts of Bethlehem Elementary School, Lafayette Regional School, Landaff School, Lisbon Regional School, and Profile Jr/Sr High School is looking for a part-time, hourly, Special Education Consultant for the school year 2024-2025.The Special Education Consultant will ensure the delivery of a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment to all children in SAU #35. To provide leadership and supervise aspects of Special Education, work collaboratively with families, education staff, partners, agencies and the community to ensure the needs of our students are met.Position Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures full compliance with state and federal special education regulations.Advises the principals, special education personnel, and the superintendent of matters pertaining to special education.Serves as the special education contact person for White Mountains School Administrative Unit #35.Coordinates professional development opportunities.Coordinates SAU wide CPI training and certification.The job description is not intended to be all inclusive, and employees will also perform other tasks and assume responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
