Counter Associate Responsibilities

A Counter Associate makes is easy for customers who are dropping off or picking up their orders.

Counter Associate Job Duties include:

• Provides excellent customer service to all customers (skill: communication).
• Able to work under pressure and maintains a calm demeanor at all times (skill: works well under pressure).
• Maintains the store and anticipates the customer’s needs (skill: good planning skills).
• Someone who always arrives at their shift on time and maintains a consistent attendance (skill: punctual).
• Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wash Day.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the plant operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team. (skill: works well under pressure)
• Anticipates customer and plant needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. (skill: good planner)
• Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary (skill: good communication skills)
• Assists with new associate training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. (skill: management skills)
• Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to associates on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve plant performance. (skill: coaching skills)
• Develops positive relationships with team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, need and concerns. (skill: motivational skills).'
