The Manhattan Club, New York City’s first Timeshare property is seeking a Housekeeping Manager.

A residence-style Timeshare Hotel, the Manhattan Club provides endless possibilities for the enjoyment of its guests. The Manhattan Club introduces a unique experience; blending a vacation ownership retreat with a luxury suite hotel. Centrally located in midtown Manhattan, it is convenient to many of New York City’s extraordinary and exciting attractions, encouraging our Owners and Guests to experience the pace of the City by day and feel the pulse of the City by night.

This position will oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that Department personnel provide the highest level of customer service. This position reports to the Assistant Director as well as the Director of Housekeeping.

Responsibilities

· Ensure all guest suites, public spaces, and back-of-house areas are cleaned and inspected to The Manhattan Club’s standards.

· Motivate, coach, counsel, and train all Housekeeping personnel.

· Understand the impact of the Departments operations on the overall property; maintain constant communication with the Front Office and Engineering departments.

· Possesses full knowledge of the specific duties and responsibilities of each role in the Housekeeping department and perform in any capacity needed.

· Investigate guest complaints and take corrective measures.

Requirements

· At least 1 year of Hotel experience at properties of similar size and quality, preferably in a Union environment;

· Excellent communication skills including oral, verbal, and written;

· Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications, particularly Microsoft Excel a must; knowledge of Hotel Expert and Paycom a plus;

· Must be self-motivated with strict attention to detail; Able to prioritize and handle multiple situations at once;

· Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;

· Professional appearance and excellent attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

· No schedule restrictions; must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays;

· Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching, stretching, stooping, handling, and gripping is required. Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 20 lbs. Ability to occasionally lift or carry more than 20 lbs.;

· Ability to walk down two flights of stairs and walk up one flight of stairs;

· Long hours sometimes required; ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
