ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the maintenance and laundry of the costumes for any TNP production or event. 

• When requested and available, fill in backstage as members of the wardrobe crew for productions in cases of illness or planned absences of an intern or Wardrobe Crew Member. 

• When needed, respond to weekend repairs as assigned by Shop Supervisor.

• Maintain a clean and safe workspace. 

• Mandatory attendance at all dress rehearsals.

• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience in Costume Construction and technology with shop experience.

• Understanding and knowledge of textiles and fabrics.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability follow direction and to work within tight deadlines.

• Be detail orientated and self-motivated.

• Regularly ascend 2 flights of stairs and lift heavy boxes.

• Experience with domestic and industrial sewing machines and sergers.

• Completion of projects within the time frame given by the Costume Shop Manager or Supervisor.

• Availability to work night and weekends

• Ability to work patiently with varying personalitiesand experience levels.

• Able to follow direction, completing projects in a timely efficient manner.
