Lone Star Kids Care is Hiring a Pediatric Medical Assistant Near Prosper, TX
To be successful in the role, you will need to be an experienced medical assistant with previous MA experience, preferably in pediatrics.
- Observe OSHA, CLIA, State, Federal & Local protocols
- Maintain laboratory records of testing & results
- Cleaning and preparing treatment rooms for clinical examination and assisting practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care
- Greet patients, obtains and records patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Process orders for laboratory test
- Preparing and administering medications and or vaccines for patients as directed by physicians
- Preforming basic laboratory test: Strep, RSV, Flu, CoVid, mono, Lipid, HgA1c, Lead, Glucose and U/As
- Delivering compassionate support, attention and assistance to patients and families
- Experience with electronic medical healthcare record systems preferably with NextGen EMR
- Answer telephone calls and directs them appropriately, able to follow protocol for phone triage of patients as directed by a provider
- Assist in processing referrals to specialist
- Manage inventory of medical supplies, vaccines and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned by practice manager or as requested by healthcare provider
- May be asked to float in the Allen location for MA coverage
