Arizona Food Bank Network is Hiring a Development Manager Near Phoenix, AZ

Position Description 

AzFBN has experienced exponential growth in the past 4 years, positioning the organization to enhance development activities across the board with a $13M (cash) revenue budget. The Development Manager will be responsible for critical elements of the AzFBN development plan, including but not limited to solicitation and stewardship of individual donors, database management in the DonorPerfect Donor Database, and community engagement.

Minimum Qualifications for Education, Training and Experience: 

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

· Experience with fundraising or community engagement at any level

· Excellent communication skills, including writing for a variety of audiences 

· Technology adept (for working with email send utilities, donor database and other office systems) with a strong interest in database management, data integrity, and reporting 

· An interest in learning, managing, and creating new fundraising streams as they are developed at AzFBN, including social media fundraising, text to give, crowdfunding, etc. 

· Deep empathy for diverse cultures, people, and experiences, and the ability to communicate effectively and with clarity and respect to a variety of audiences with the goal of building meaningful relationships 

· Valid Arizona Driver’s License and the willingness to travel routinely in Maricopa County and occasionally in other parts of the state.

Primary Responsibilities: 

· Solicitation calendar for individual donors via email, direct mail, from assisting in planning through execution 

· In partnership with the Communications and Outreach Manager, implementing on-and-offline campaigns to recruit donors and keep current donors interested in AzFBN’s mission 

· Stewardship of all donor groups, including thank-you letter writing and programming (both electronic and physical/snail mail), thank-you calls, and assisting in planning and managing small stewardship events (webinars, tours, small gatherings) 

· Management of the AzFBN monthly “Grove of Good” donor program, including recruiting, stewarding, troubleshooting giving functions, and thanking this special audience with the goal of building more monthly support for Arizonans at risk of hunger and developing a sense of belonging 

· Responsibility for community fundraisers, appearing at events and configuring giving channels, including seeking out and attending community events to build awareness of AzFBN and its mission 

· Management of data integrity and full use of software at AzFBN used to fundraise, primarily (but not limited to) DonorPerfect and EveryAction 

· Providing backup for data entry and gift processing as needed 

Salary Range: The range for this position is $52,000 - $58,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
