Accurate Services, Inc. is a family-owned and operated contract apparel manufacturer and fulfillment center in Fall River, MA. Thriving for decades in the birthplace of the American sewing industry since 1955, we have offered various services, including production for the garment industry, product development, warehousing, and distribution.
We are looking for a part-time HR Manager to oversee the HR function within the company. The employer-employee relationship is of utmost importance at Accurate. Reporting to the President and Exec. VP, the ideal candidate will be someone with outstanding interpersonal skills who shines most when building and cultivating relationships, solving complex problems, and communicating compassionately and effectively.
Other aspects of the role include:
· Providing answers to all HR-related questions from employees, management, providers and partners.
· Investigating and documenting workplace non-compliance incidents
· Performing timekeeping and payroll activities, as well as data entry in HRIS (PaychexFlex)
· Performing full-cycle talent acquisition activities including onboarding
· Facilitating management of employee-paid and unpaid leave
· Creating, updating, and maintaining HR policies and procedures working with PEO as needed
· Ensuring compliance with wage and labor laws
· Maintaining relationships with company business partners for payroll, human resources, workers’ compensation, 401K, health plans etc.
· Supporting safety efforts and Safety Committee
· Partnering with accounting on related invoices and payments.
· Working on various projects from time to time in support of the business.
· Monitoring wages and salary increase budgets to ensure competitiveness
Qualifications:
· At least 3 years of professional experience in human resources, office administration, and/or similar fields
· HR Degree and/or SHRM certification highly preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Excellent writing and communication skills
· Experience working with software systems and databases
· Can prioritize and follow through on tasks effectively
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
· Understanding of HR compliance guidelines for recordkeeping and documentation
· Strong researching capabilities
