PCB is searching for our next Employee Owners to serve as Universal Bankers for our retail team in Springfield! These positions will be an integral piece as we establish and build our customer base in the Springfield market. Apply today to be a part of PCB's Springfield story from the beginning.

The Universal Banker plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, facilitating financial transactions, and promoting various banking products and services. They are responsible for providing comprehensive support to customers through various channels including in-person interactions, phone calls, and digital platforms.

OUTCOMES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve problems, and provide assistance on a wide range of banking services including, account inquiries, transactions, and product information.
  • Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently including, but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Open and close various types of accounts such as checking, savings, certificates of deposit, IRAs, and consumer loans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the bank’s products, services, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions affecting banking services.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and account activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and procedures in all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new staff members, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to perform all responsibilities and tasks of a Teller, FSR, & Call Center Specialist.
  • 3 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Consistently meets all competencies on performance review.
  • Expected to work more independently as well as train and guide less experienced employees

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Reading and interpreting various documents and policies, writing reports, and communicating effectively and appropriately with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong fundamental mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting practical problems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn new tools and equipment at a fast pace.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
