Be part of a growing and prospering company as a Project Manger for our Cedar Rapids, IA office. Auxiant is a third party administrator of self-funded employee benefit plans with offices in Cedar Rapids, IA, Madison and Milwaukee, WI. Job Summary:

The Project Manager supports the planning, execution, monitoring, communication, documentation and closure of projects in accordance with customer and internal stakeholder requirements, strict deadlines and within budget. Complex projects will have a high strategic importance to the organization, with varying degrees of complexity, risk, organizational, and client impact. Support to maintain the progress, mutual interaction, and tasks of various parties to reduce risk of failure, maximize benefits, and minimize costs.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with clients, vendors and internal stakeholders to define the project team, scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals.
  • Lead or provide skilled facilitation services to support the efforts of the project team throughout the life of the project.
  • Assist in the development of full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Maintain visibility on day-to-day activities with project teams.
  • Identify, investigate root causes, and prioritize existing and potential issues and risks, develop strategies and controls to mitigate them.
  • Analyze work plans to ensure assigned projects are completed within scope, budgets and schedules while meeting the organization’s needs, business objectives and design guidelines.
  • Assist in closing projects and creating a recommendation report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Coordinate documentation of the critical aspects of the implementation to support institutional knowledge of the final work product.
  • Identify and provide double-check review of critical deliverables to ensure success of the project.

Nonessential Functions:

Education/Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, customers and employees.
  • Strong aptitude for analytical thinking and demonstrated data skills.
  • Experience in healthcare related project management or business/data analysis preferred.
  • 3 years of project management experience preferred.
