Job Summary:

Responsible for handling all aspects of COBRA

Essential Functions:

· Daily contact with participants and clients for services provided

· Audit and disburse checks/payments from participants

· Track and ensure coverage is updated for online/check payments received

· Receive and reviewing elections for COBRA participants – notify Auxiant enrollment and outside carriers when first payment received

· Track COBRA payments on a monthly basis

· Provide excellent customer service to plan participants, HR contacts and account managers

· Enter pertinent data in the client database

· Process terminations from COBRA

· Process COBRA election paperwork to terminated employees

· Regularly deals with data of a confidential or sensitive nature where judgment and tact are required to maintain or disseminate it.

Education/Qualifications:

· Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication

· Phone skills

· Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, meet established deadlines and change as business needs require

· Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet,10-key

· Proven experience in a professional office environment

· Considerable knowledge of Federal & State COBRA and HIPAA rules

· Good problem solving/analytical/math skills.
