SummarySupervises and coordinates activities of Production Teams by facilitating the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments on the production floor. Engages in scheduling production operations by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEvaluates written data such as job orders, product specifications and operations sheets, parts and materials inventory lists, and machine and worker production rates, to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow.
Studies production schedules and estimates staffing, duty assignments and inventory requirements.
Provide training for newly hired and existing employees.
Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
Issues manufacturing orders based off of Kanban levels. Within that, sets Kanban levels accordingly so as to not run out of parts.
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
Monitors procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
Responsible for the execution of startups, shut downs, daily operations and plant optimization
Performs activities of workers supervised.
Implements improvements.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
