DescriptionWhat You'll Be DoingAs the Community Bank President in Johnson, you will generate quality commercial loans, represent Bank Iowa in the community, and lead a team of Relationship Managers. You will be a specialist in generating quality commercial loans as well as building full relationships with clients that include referrals for other Bank products and services. In conjunction with your role as a commercial lender, this role is actively involved in the community and expected to lead and participate in civic and community activities to generate visibility and establish Bank Iowa as a center of influence in the community. This role plays a pivotal part in growing and maintaining the bank's portfolio and will make efforts to be a part of and improve the community in which they reside.
  • Leads and champions the bank's values, culture, and strategic direction. Acts as the primary representative of the bank in the community.
  • Actively involved in the communities' business development function to achieve community bank loan and deposit growth goals.
  • Leads and participates in civic and community activities to generate visibility and establish the bank as a center of influence (COI).
  • Manages a commercial loan portfolio. Builds and maintains strong relationships with ag and commercial clients, fostering business growth and client retention within the Central Iowa Region.
  • Approves loans within specified limits and refers loan applications outside those limits to management for approval.
This role is a full-time position and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, however, some community activities may require you to be visible beyond normal business hours.
RequirementsSkills/Experience You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field with relevant work experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Minimum of 7 years lending and banking experience as a Commercial Loan Officer.
  • Supervisory and management experience preferred.
  • Ideal candidates will have leadership experience as well as banking experience, credit analysis or underwriting experience, and/or proven sales experience.
