We are currently looking for an Accounting Coordinator who is dedicated to supporting our Finance Team in our Solon, OH location. - Maintain accurate financial records to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws
- Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using spreadsheets and financial software
- Compile statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses
- Assist with inventory accounting analysis, including standard costing and variance accounting
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries
- Reconciles accounts and bank statements
- Assist with processing customer invoices and the collections process
- Match order forms with vendor invoices, and record the necessary information
- Calculate, prepare, and issue invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures
- Associates' degree in Accounting or related field
- 1 years of related experience
- Ability to enter and manipulate data in Excel spreadsheets and use formulas to automate calculations
- Basic experience using Accounting technology to manage data, automate tasks, and generate reports
- Basic experience using ERP systems to extract and manage data and generate reports
- The ability to interpret financial data and use it to make informed decisions
- A basic understanding of Financial Accounting and Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP) standards, practices, and regulations
- A basic knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
