- Review and analyze product/project requirements
- Design, control, and implement electrical components, products and systems
- Develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards
- Create and revise wiring diagrams and cable drawings
- Design and document various logic, microcontroller, FPGA, and PLC-based systems and subsystems
- Develop methods and procedures to continuously improve the quality and reliability of products
- Be responsible for electrical compliance testing
- Collaborate with other Engineering disciplines to coordinate project efforts
- Interact with Production and outside vendors to resolve technical issues and develop and maintain required documentation
- Interact with Sales and Service to support critical business needs, such as resolving technical issues, visiting customer sites (domestic and international), and reviewing standard and non-standard system configuration requests
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and drive these tasks to completion with a quality focused approach
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Engineering degree and experience; Masters a plus
- 8 years Electrical Engineering experience
- Experience developing hardware for complex systems or devices
- Experience with complex PCB design including BGAs, >6 layers, high density, signal integrity, high speed communication buses, and defining advanced PCB design constraints
- Experience with PCB design tools, Altium preferred
- Experience with testing, troubleshooting and debugging lab tools such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and related tools
- Experienced with analog and digital electronic systems
- Experience in DFM, DFA, DFT industry standard best practices
- Experience with PDM/PLM processes and tools
- Experience with Lean and Six-Sigma concepts
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, DraftSight, or other 2D drafting software
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft products
