Job Summary:

The Human Resources Intern will perform administrative functions to support our HR team. We are seeking a motivated bilingual (English and Spanish) college student with the ability to work 20-30 hours per week. Preferably a student majoring in Business or Human Resources. This is a paid internship.

Essential Job Functions:

• Maintains confidentiality of all information.
• Covers reception area as needed.
• Assists in Time & Attendance software verifications for payroll processing.
• Assists in reconciling carrier bills/employee benefits.
• Provides office services support for HR staff by inputting data and gathering information on HR related projects.
• Assembles New Hire orientation documents.
• Conducts temporary employee orientations/on boarding.
• Screens employee referrals for open temp employee positions and refers suitable candidates to the employment agencies.
• Assists employees with general HR questions, as needed.
• Provides assistance with daily HR operations, projects, and special tasks, as needed.

Education:

Must currently be enrolled in college, as a sophomore or junior (Business or HR major preferred)

Job Qualifications:

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) – Must be able to speak, read, and write Spanish.
• Strong writing skills, strong organizational skills, dead-line oriented, attention to detail
• Microsoft Office experience/knowledge
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality of all information is a must.
