The Evans Network of Companies is Hiring a Director of Operations Near Langhorne, PA
The Operations Manager, will oversee a diverse range of critical functions, including the 24/7 Call Center, Broker Carrier Setup, Central Dispatch, Planning Group, and Heavy Haul/Permits. This individual will spearhead initiatives like the corporate FG Report program and Driver Retention strategies for our Central Group. Every day will present new challenges and opportunities to make a tangible impact on our success.
Essential Job Duties
- Foster the growth, development, and overall performance of our talented Operations Group, ensuring they have the tools and support they need to thrive
- Create, track, and optimize key performance indicators, ensuring that our team members are set up for success
- Oversee Central Dispatch fleet of Owner Operators
- Implement freight optimization and driver retention strategies
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Facilitate the implementation of continuous improvement objectives
- Assign drivers and dispatchers
- Handle agent, customer, and driver escalations
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure compliance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of leadership experience, successfully leading a team of 4 direct reports
- Trucking industry experience
- Operations Transportation Management experience
- TMS familiarity
- Ability to remain patient and calm under pressure
- Top-notch customer service skills
- Skill to quickly pivot from one task to another and reprioritize throughout the day
- Collaborative team player
- Strong typing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English in a professional manner
- Data analysis experience
