Pro Trans International is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Ridgeville, SC

 

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager in Supply Chain Management is responsible for managing and improving the efficiency of the supply chain operations. This role involves oversight of procurement, inventory control, logistics, distribution, and process improvement to ensure that all aspects of the supply chain are functioning effectively and meet company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the quality of supply chain processes.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including demand forecasting, inventory levels, and order fulfillment, to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and prices.
  • Logistics Oversight: Manage logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes using tools like Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for supply chain operations, including cost analysis and financial reporting.
  • Technology Integration: Implement and leverage technology solutions to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a equivalent work experience. 
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and databases.
  • Knowledge of supply chain regulations and international trade.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Effective team management and motivational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • · 1 year of industry experience within logistics and supply chain and/or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation or business-related field.
  • · Automotive logistics experience preferred, but not required.
  • · Willing to travel both nationally and internationally to customer locations within the ProTrans International network.
  • · Experience using web-based business intelligence tools and Microsoft Office.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • · This role requires solid verbal and written communication skills in English (bi-lingual abilities in Spanish is preferred)
  • · Ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English and Spanish.
  • · Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • · Ability to speak effectively in English and Spanish before a group of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, trends, statistical techniques and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Office programs.
