Job Purpose
The HR Benefits Coordinator maintains accurate data in benefit plan enrollments, overseeing billing and invoices through carrier and MHMR vendors. Conducts audit reviews to ensure proper cost allocation, supports benefit-related communications and events, and enhances external benefit portals. Proficient in Excel, with strong written communication skills and the ability to create and edit benefit communications on complex systems.
II) Essential Functions
A) Review and process billing data received from benefit providers monthly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
B) Monitor program reports for outliers and track changes to billing, initiating resolutions for efficiency.
C) Create benefit-related pages and updates on internal and external communication portals. Provide consultation, research, technical assistance, and support, as requested. Provides resource information online based on current provider insurance information related to coverages.
D) Develop and maintain wellness activity and event pages on SharePoint/Info Depot.
E) Manage retirement notifications by providing reports and updating next due dates.
F) Send reminders via email and home mailing and update data entries accordingly.
G) Facilitate mailing of packets for insurance benefit events and other HR areas as needed.
H) Complete required MHMR training and attend refresher training as necessary.
I) Attend training and seminars for professional development as assigned.

K) Performs other job duties or responsibilities as requested or assigned.

F) Advanced skills in written and verbal communication.
G) Ability to work in a team and independently.

I) Strong organizational skills.
J) Ability to work a flexible schedule and onsite location, in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
K) Proficient and skilled in word processing and information systems, particularly in the use of Windows software applications, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
L) Proficient and skilled in the learning of software applications.
M) Knowledge and adherence to HIPPA and confidentiality laws.
IV) Internal & External Customer Service
A) This position requires extensive internal and external contacts. The employee will accomplish this with advanced written and verbal skills.
V) Travel
A) Adhere to MHMR Mileage and Travel reimbursement policy and any other aspect regarding travel.
B) This position requires occasional travel in personal vehicles to various program/provider sites.

A) Utilized as required for position.

A) Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED
B) Defined Education: None
C) Preferences: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
D) Substitutions: Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field and two (2) years’ experience
E) Years’ Experience: Four (4) years
F) Defined Experience: Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
G) License/Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License
H) Special Courses: None
I) Supervisory Experience: None
VIII) Agency Requirements
A) All staff are required to participate in agency Emergency Preparedness and Environmental Safety programs and may be assigned by their department as a key/essential staff level function during critical events or for the purpose of sustaining business continuity.
B) This position may require temporary or permanent re-assignment to any MHMR Tarrant facility as determined by program needs and/or the Division/Director.
C) Assigned work hours may change as the needs of the agency change.
D) The Functional Title of this position may change as the needs of the agency change.
E) All work will be completed within the scheduled work hours. All non-exempt (hourly) employees are expected to clock in and clock out for each work shift, no work should be done off the clock.
F) MHMR reserves the right to change, add to or eliminate positions as it deems appropriate.
G) Employment is at will, as well as agency needs may change.
H) Agency dress code is to be followed at all times.
I) Physical on-site presence, including regular attendance and punctuality, is an essential function of this position. Any changes or adjustments to your assigned work schedule or shift hours must be approved by your supervisor in advance.
