OVERVIEW
PCE, a live events production company, is looking for a Production Manager to support a brand-new venue dubbed Great Park
Live in Irvine, CA! This 5000 seat venue will be home to live music in Orange County, including the Pacific Symphony, commercial touring acts as well as many community events like Irvine Nights, graduations, and cultural events. This is a temporary venue until the new permanent venue can be built and opened in the next three to six years. PCE is the exclusive technical partner for equipment including audio, lighting, video, staging, rigging, and backline. PCE focuses on offering a remarkable client experience through customer service and industry expertise. At PCE, it doesn't matter what it is, if the client can dream it, we can do it!
This role will report directly to the operations management, performing wide-ranging tasks in a fast-paced environment. All work will take place at the Great Park Live venue, there is an office on the premises.
DUTIES
This position performs a wide range of production venue management functions to ensure successful live events and customer
experiences. Your duties will be carried out at the venue. Travel will be required based on meeting location. Duties include, but
are not limited to:
· Event Set Up Supervision of all Technical System
· Schedule Technical Staff for each Event
· Interface with IATSE Union Stewards, and office staff to ensure safety and quality of each member.
· Oversee all Sound Ordinance Rules are being followed.
· Perform LEQ audio testing during all events to ensure sound levels are being adhered too.
· Schedule and oversee all annual safety inspections of truss roof, motors, stage, and other technical systems.
· Advance all technical needs with every booking for the venue.
· Operate LED video system for regular events.
· Operate the audio system for basic music playback.
· Turn on the house lighting system as needed.
· Identify and repair all house technical equipment.
· Perform regular maintenance on house technical equipment.
· Keep and organize house technical storage location.
· Prepare and send all additional equipment orders to client and on behalf of GLP/PCE
· Coordinates with front-of-house patron service and box office personnel to ensure smooth operations.
· Ensures that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy.
· Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures.
· Ensuring and providing exceptional customer service.
· Lead and motivate the crew efficiently on events.
· Sets a positive example of conduct and mentorship.
· Participates in pre-and post-event meetings as required to review/communicate group needs and feedback.
· Work in Off Season to perform all maintenance on equipment.
· Work in Off Season on other projects assigned by management.
· Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
REQUIREMENTS
· Broad general education with relevant entertainment industry experience.
· At least three years of production manager/technical director experience.
· One area of expertise in either audio, lighting, video and/or rigging.
· Ability to work long hours within a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
· Working knowledge of the principles and practices of workplace safety.
· Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep job sites accident free.
· Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to accomplish multiple priorities in a fast-paced work setting.
· Strong project management skills.
· Must be flexible and able to maintain professionalism under pressure.
· Exceptional sense of priority; Strong organizational skills; Customer oriented service; Tact; Professionalism; Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
· Leadership and the ability to recognize the contribution of all team members.
· Must be a team member and interact well with others.
· Ability to identify issues and problem-solve on site.
