POSITION SUMMARY:

The Part Time High School Administrative Assistant provides administrative support of departmental day to day operations, data input, scheduling and communications. 

ABOUT RCS:

Resurrection Christian School is a private, non-denominational Christian college-preparatory school located in Loveland, Colorado. Founded in 1998 by Rez.Church, Resurrection Christian School serves students from Pre-K through12th grade. RCS is the largest Christian school in Northern Colorado, serving nearly 900 families from 19 communities over a 25-mile radius. School enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year Pre-K through 12th is approximately 1,400 students. RCS is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI); AdvancED.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

General:

• Assist campus administration and the Academic Advisors with the preparation of reports and student data information primarily using FACTS, Naviance, and Canvas.

• Assist the Academic Advisors in the online class process for students. This includes the logistics and maintenance of the registration process, monitoring grades and progress, obtaining transcripts and recording data to student records.

• Assisting the Academic Advisors with student schedules.

• Attentiveness to students’ academic and emotional status in order to assist the academic advisor department.

• Coordinating with other CO high schools on college fairs and college preparatory events.

• Creating content and updating guidance page in High School newsletter.

• Managing calendar (meetings, appointments, classes) for advisors.

• Provide administrative support to the Director of Student Life for Senior Missions trips.

• Assist the Academic Advisors with the administration of testing.

Transcripts

• Second reviewer on transcripts.

Front Office Responsibilities

• Answer and screen phone calls and address basic related questions, forward calls to the appropriate individual when necessary.

• Assist students, teachers, parents and visitors who come into the High School office with various needs.

• Make announcements or call students down to the office using intercom system.

• Knowledge of FACTS and be able to access information for various purposes.

• Deliver and pick up the mail from the outside mailbox. Sort the mail into the proper mailboxes in the High School.

Customer Service

• Maintain an excellent working knowledge of all policies, procedures and handbooks of RCS.

• Maintain professional and effective relationships with all RCS staff, board members, and families.

• Assist parents/guardians with basic/general questions regarding student and school events, activities, issues, etc. Direct parents/guardians to School Principal or Dean of Students when necessary.

• Assist students as they check in and out throughout the school day.

Other

• All other duties designated by the Academic Advisors and the High School Principal.

• Skilled at personal computer and keyboarding.

• Skilled at customer service including attentive and active listening with all staff, students, parent/guardians and community members.

• Skilled at critical thinking and problem solving.

• Skilled at time management, organizational and planning processes.

KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations set forth by the Colorado Board of Education and ACSI Practices in Christian Schools.

• Knowledge of operating personal computers, peripherals and typical office equipment.

• Knowledge of educational/instructional technology equipment and programs.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and other department related software packages.

Salary Range: $17-$19 per hour DOE & Qualifications

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Two to three years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Sheets and Google Documents and a database software program preferred.

Must have a cheerful, positive, and outgoing personality. As well, have excellent planning skills, be highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities. Be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet goals in a timely fashion. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and management skills are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Administrative Assistant position requires intermittent physical activity including standing, walking, bending kneeling, stooping, crouching and lifting of up to 40lbs on occasion. Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must possess normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
