Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Director-Workforce Development. This position will develop and facilitate high impact activities that coordinate an academic success program for apprenticeship students while focusing on academic excellence and promoting student success and retention. In this position, you will need to develop, market and coordinate training opportunities to local professionals and area businesses and provide training for industry. You should be able to coordinate the lead of collection, interpretation and reporting of data necessary for programs, grants and training to adhere to federal and state regulation. It will also be important to stay abreast of current workplace and/or industry needs to develop related training solutions; strengthen business partnerships by meeting employment needs; and assist CTE students with gaps in soft skills by providing employability skills. In this position, you should also be able to advise apprenticeships students as needed; serve as liaison between the college and employers for apprenticeship programs; maintain records for mandated training and certifications; coordinate and promote competency-based education programs; and represent Rend Lake College at the state and national level as needed. //50-week, non-tenure track position.
Bachelor's degree in a related business field required, Master's preferred
Industry Experience of 3 to 5 years required
Workforce training experience required
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills required
Must be able to successfully pass a background screening
$70,000 - $80,000 salary or commensurate with experience
