DescriptionAllpoints Surveying is seeking a field-based, Rodman/Instrument Man to join our growing team in North Austin, TX and the surrounding areas, including San Marcos and New Braunfels. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong complex problem-solving capabilities. The Rodman/Instrument Man is responsible for surveying and investigating land surfaces to project precise measurements.

Responsibilities
- Collect field data utilizing GPS and a variety of surveying instruments
- Produce field notes and sketches depicting accurate field conditions
- Utilize a variety of technology to collaborate with other departments
- Organize and prioritize tasks on a daily basis
- Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner and in compliance with all local laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid Driver’s License required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Exposure to surveying instruments and processing survey data preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain
- Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail
