Job Summary
We have an opening for a Marketing Associate in our Marketing Department! The Marketing Associate will oversee the North American, European and some Asia exhibitions / trade shows. Works collaboratively with foreign team members to support planning of international shows. Plans, manages budget/invoices, and coordinates travel arrangements.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all trade show logistics including shipping, receiving, setup and inspection.
- Leads pre-show and post-show marketing strategies in collaboration with Content Specialist & Graphic Artist.
- Utilizes CRM, Marketing automation and other marketing technologies to create and deploy successful promotion campaigns.
- Researches and recommends global exhibition opportunities and supports event strategy.
- Monitors and controls inventory and ordering of sample parts, trade show supplies, literature, promotional items, and all other marketing materials. Works with vendors to quote and order materials as need.
- Works with the Sales teams to provide needed customer call / visit support materials.
- Builds strategic relationships, partnering with vendors to support business needs.
- Supports internal teams with marketing promotional, literature, and apparel.
- Collaborates with Marketing team on shared projects, initiatives and strategies.
- Supports process improvement, serves as a change agent, and strives for continuous improvement.
- Travels domestically to represent Smalley at exhibitions; interacts with customers and potential customers.
- Reports to the Director of Marketing
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
- 3 years of marketing experience or event coordination experience
- 3 years of sales support and CRM experience
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
- Must be willing to commute to Lake Zurich, IL office location
