POSITION PURPOSE
The Inside Sales Representative works with the outside sales force to solicit, sell, and develop new dealer accounts and maintain current accounts to achieve sales and revenue goals. Specifically, this position supports the outside sales force by prospecting, managing leads, and scheduling sales appointments.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions
Build a prospect list of new dealers to call upon.
Assist in the growth of the new-dealer base by making ____ cold calls per day using a prospect list.
Each day (or week) schedule ____ appointments with dealers for the outside sales team or just Schedule appointments with dealers for the outside sales team.
Manage lead distribution and follow-up.
Assist in increasing sales from the existing dealer base by making ____ calls per day as assigned or just Maintain relationships with current dealers by calling and staying up-to-date on their needs and account conditions.
Meet weekly and monthly goals for calls made and applications received.
Provide administrative support to the outside sales team to increase the volume of signed contracts.
Track calls made/received and update dealer information in company records as needed.
Answer dealers’ questions about products, prices, and availability.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Assist the outside sales team with pool trade shows as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
High school diploma or GED is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two to three years of successful inside sales or call center/customer service experience is required.
Two to three years of experience in prospecting and qualifying potential customers is required.
Valid driver’s license is required.

Ability to learn about APC products and gain an understanding of pool cover mechanics.

Ability to show initiative and put forward ideas to consistently improve the sales experience.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close business over the phone.
Advanced problem-solving abilities.
Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
Proficiency using computers, including Microsoft Office, database programs, and the Internet.
Proficiency using telephones, printers, fax machines, copiers, and scanners.
Ability to prioritize, organize, manage time effectively, and multitask.
Ability to work as part of a team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time and an ability to move intermittently throughout the workday in an office environment.

May be required to work flexible hours, including evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
