Coordination of team member input to ensure comprehensive proposal represent stakeholders from throughout the institution.Post-Award Responsibilities: providing support to grant project directors for funded grants to ensure project outcomes are met and compliance is achieved. Track and communicate progress of grant funded projects to Institute administration.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with project directors to manage deadlines and facilitate submissions for new funding and projects that advance the RCBC Strategic Plan.Researches and maintains current grant information on potential sources of funding.Works closely with Institute directors, division managers, academic directors, faculty, and senior administrators in researching, drafting, and finalizing grant prospects.Works closely with Accounting and Purchasing Department personnel to ensure grant budgets are spent according to grant contracts and RCBC regulations.Organizes grant writing committees and takes a leadership role in coordinating the research and participation of committee members.Writes and finalizes proposals for submission.Maintains grant application timelines and strategy.Tracks and updates grant metrics/outcomes. Provides support to grant project directors to ensure that overall performance activities and related documentation and reporting are in compliance with grant requirements.Monitors goals, progress, and compliance of grant contracts and partnership agreements to ensure positive performance.Reviews and submits programmatic reports to funding agencies.Serves as liaison with program officers and external project partners.Will, on occasion, work with a consultant to develop a proposal and submit a final grant application.Performs other duties as assigned.OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.Minimum QualificationsEducation Required:Bachelor’s Degree requiredAdvanced degree is desirableExperience Required:Minimum of two years professional/technical writing experience, preferably in higher education or related field.Understanding of federal funding agencies and grants management.Demonstrated success as a principal writer of funded grants or contracts.Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Background in federal grants management and compliance.Ability to use personal computers, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.Ability to work under pressure while adhering to deadlines.Ability to research grants and gather information using internet and search engine tools.Ability to organize projects over time, and with multiple stakeholders to meet deadlines.Licenses, Registrations, and/or Certificates:Valid Driver’s License required.Special Requirements:Subject to pre-employment background investigation.Required to travel throughout regional area.Required to be available outside of regular work hours as may be necessitated in order to support critical business operations in a timely manner.Be able to work some evenings as needed.Additional InformationINSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION: Part TimeTo view the benefits summary for Special Projects positions.click here.
