TWIN LAKES COMMUNITY is Hiring a Lineman Apprentice Near Gainesboro, TN
Functions and Abilities of the Position: *
- Follows industry and Company standards for installation and maintenance of critical fiber facilities.
- Assists Linemen with fiber splicing, setting up splice enclosures, setting poles, pedestals, and operating of equipment needed to accomplish these tasks.
- Assists with the removal of Outside Plant facilities and the clearing of right-of-way as needed to maintain the fiber network.
- Prepares equipment and materials for aerial and buried installation.
- Assists Linemen in placement of aerial and buried cable on poles and underground.
- Places buried wire/cable by operating trenching equipment.
- Must be able to work from aerial bucket truck and climbs poles as necessary to complete assignments.
- Must be able to operate electrical and gas-powered equipment.
- Strict adherence to safety standards in all aspects
- Must obtain and maintain a valid, unrestricted interstate Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a minimum of a Class A license with Restriction 57.
- Must be able to report to various locations, including Gainesboro, Jamestown, Livingston, or other Twin Lakes service areas within the Upper Cumberland region depending on work assignments.
