Centrum Valley Farms is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist Near Clarion, IA

Job Summary:

The candidate for this opening will utilize creative and outside-the-box sourcing techniques to identify the right talent for hard-to-fill and/or growth positions within our organization. Also responsible for qualifying candidates through pre-screening and strategic communications to foster relationships and build a candidate pool. Additional recruiting and HR responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Staffing and Recruiting
    • Assist with job posting and advertisement processes for hourly, skilled, and professional positions.
    • Schedule interviews, oversee preparation of interview questions and arrange other hiring and selection materials.
    • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees.
    • Coordinate, prepare for, and attend college career fairs and other recruiting events.
    • Identify and implement recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
    • Produce monthly reports containing recruiting metrics.
    • Conduct new employee orientation.
    • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of personnel policies and procedure, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
  • Employee Relations
    • Assist in creating, reviewing, updating, and translating job descriptions.
    • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with hiring managers to achieve operational success through onboarding of quality team members.
    • Promote HR programs to ensure a positive and healthy work environment.
    • Support Senior HR Generalist and other team members with administrative tasks and employee related issues.
  • Must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the public image.
  • Willingness to participate in strategic projects with the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years HR experience preferred
  • Active PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Considerable skill in interviewing techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, influence, and conflict resolution skills.
