Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting with daily feed mill operations, including maintenance, house cleaning, ingredient receiving, inventories and other duties that are deemed necessary by the feed mill manager and Hawkeye Pride Egg Farm.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance to all internal/external quality, food safety and site policies,regulations, standards and procedures.
• Promotes a culture consistent with Hawkeye Pride Egg Farm and the Versova Feed Teams' Guiding Principles and Core Values.
• Ensures incoming ingredients are routed to the correct ingredient bins and takes samples requested by management.
• Correctly enters ingredient loads into WEM, and GP.
• Monitors batching system to ensure correct routing and efficiencies are maintained.
• Ensures diets are correctly routed to the corresponding house and feed bins.
• Ensures roller mills are running correctly to keep ground corn in overhead bins.
• Grades incoming corn and takes samples as requested by management.
• Performs preventative maintenance as directed by the Feed Mill Manager and SOPs.
• Performs daily and weekly house cleaning deemed necessary by Management.

Requirements:

• Strong Communication skills
• Able to use a computer with current Windows, Word and Excel.
• Able to learn and use WEM Automation
• Ability to safely complete the physical tasks associated with the essential job functions such as but not limited to Bending and stooping to perform maintenance procedures.
• Able to lift up to 55lbs. repeatedly.
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights up 250'.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Able to pass a PFT examination for respirator use.
