FMP Consulting is currently seeking a Section 508 Compliance Specialist to join our growing team.
As a Section 508 Compliance Specialist at FMP, you will be responsible providing Section 508 remediation for documents and training internal and external clients on document accessibility and Section 508.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and remediate documents to ensure compliance with Section 508 requirements, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe PDF, and MS Excel documents
Use software tools to identify and remediate errors in document structure, headings, reading order, images, charts and tables, and hyperlinks
Prepare templates for authors to use in document preparation
Provide informal training on Section 508 requirements for documents to enable others to create documents that require less remediation
Create accessible PDF forms
Stay current on Section 508 policy and federal agency accessibility checklists
Evaluate Section 508 testing tools and new software
