The Cardiac Sonographer uses ultrasound equipment to create images of the heart to assist cardiologists in diagnosing conditions. Responsible for performing echocardiograms. Being a Cardiac Sonographer may require an associate degree. Records patient data, analyzes test results, and prepares reports for physicians. In addition, Cardiac Sonographer rDMS, RCS, or RDCS certification is required. Typically reports to a manager. Cardiac Sonographer's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
