Position summary:
-
The Echo Tech performs cardiac ultrasonography, specifically echocardiograms, stress echos, and transesophageal echos (TEEs) in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, ED, and intraoperative. He/she supports the operation of the CVS Department, including processing reports, scheduling patients, and providing back-up to Cardiovascular Techs (performing EKGs and stress testing). The Echo Tech also participates in the on-call rotation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
-
High school diploma and successful completion of an accredited echocardiography training program.

Required length and type of experience:-
1 year of clinical experience or successful completion of an accredited echocardiography training program.

Required licensure, certification or registry:-
Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Specialist (RCS) OR registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) OR registry eligibly with agreement to pass registry within 1 year of employment.
