Camp Ernst Housekeeping Staff - YMCA Camp Ernst

Key Responsibilities:

•  Clean and sanitize camp bathrooms and facilities, including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, floors, and high-touch surfaces, while restocking all restroom supplies.
•    Maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned camp areas by completing daily cleaning schedules, including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash and recycling removal window washing, and general sanitation.
•  Assist with laundry operations and organization of lost and found areas to support efficient camp operations.
•    Identify, record, and report maintenance or repair needs and complete minor repairs as directed to ensure safe, functional spaces.
•    Support a welcoming camp environment by working respectfully with campers and staff and modeling professionalism and positive relationships.
•    Follow YMCA Child Protection Policies, practice cultural humility, and promptly report safety, behavioral, or policy concerns.
•    Participate in staff training, meetings, and additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth, safe, and mission-driven camp operations.
•    Adhere to established association standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Ability to perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.
•  Dependable and self-motivated, with the ability to follow schedules, procedures, and instructions to support team achievement.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass training to drive a golf cart. Must follow all instructions and guidelines.
•  YMCA Child Abuse Prevention training completed.
