About the Company
We're partnering with a well-established and growing distribution company seeking a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team. About the Role
Rather than being siloed into one function, you'll work closely with the Controller and CFO while gaining hands-on experience across financial reporting, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and the monthly close process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and support the monthly close process
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with daily cash reporting and financial reporting
- Partner with warehouse operations on inventory transactions and adjustments
- Support inventory cycle counts and inventory accounting
- Prepare reports and analyses for management
- Work directly with accounting leadership on special projects and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 1 years of accounting experience
Required Skills
- Experience with:
- Journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end close
- Inventory, manufacturing, or distribution industry experience is highly preferred
- Strong Excel skills and overall comfort working with ERP systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
