What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at WSFS Bank?
NewLane Finance is seeking a detail oriented, organized full time Staff Accountant to assist with accounting and operating activities in support of accounting / servicing lease portfolio. The position will work cross-functionally with all departments executing tasks such accounting close, commission reporting, operations, and ongoing support needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting:
- Assist with performing related financial accounting, servicing, operating, and reporting activities as directed and assigned by management.
- Administer G/L account reconciliations.
- Responsible for Account Payable operating and equipment lease disbursements as directed.
- Support the month end accounting close process and accounting & analysis activities in accordance with parent accounting calendar.
- Generate and produce month end accounting reports that are required for portfolio servicing, G/L account reconciliations, sales/use tax, cash management and other standard reporting requirements.
- Other projects as directed and assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Must have 2 year of experience in financial services industry
- Must have knowledge and experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliation systems
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Must have excellent analytical skills
- Must have the ability to handle simultaneous projects and meet established deadlines
- Must have good organizational and analytical skills and be detail oriented
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work independently to solve problems as well as work as a part of team on special projects and assignments
