Location: Mansfield, TX 76063
Pay Rate: S18.00 - $22.00 Hourly (DOE)
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Saturday as needed)
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team in Mansfield, TX. The ideal candidate will use precision Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal components that meet or exceed quality standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who values accuracy, safety, and craftsmanship in a fast-paced production environment.
Position Description
- Perform TIG welding operations to join metal components accurately, following blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Set up and adjust TIG welding equipment, including selecting appropriate welding rods, gas flow, and voltage settings for various materials and thicknesses.
- Clean and prepare welding surfaces by removing debris, rust, and other impurities to ensure proper weld adhesion.
- Position and secure workpieces using clamps, jigs, or fixtures to maintain alignment during welding.
- Inspect welds visually and with non-destructive testing methods to identify defects and ensure conformance to quality standards.
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in welding is preferred.
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder or similar welding role, demonstrating proficiency on various materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes and the ability to select appropriate methods based on material type and thickness.
- Skilled in operating and adjusting TIG welding equipment, including troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various positions during welding.
