Position Overview

XL Pro Staffing and Consulting is seeking an experienced Slitter/Rewinder Machine Operator to join a team in Fort Worth, TX. This position is responsible for setting up and operating slitter/rewinder machinery for plastic film production, monitoring product quality, and ensuring safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has machine operating experience, strong mechanical skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter/rewinder machinery for plastic film production.
• Load and unload large rolls of plastic film onto machinery.
• Adjust machine settings, including width, tension, speed, and roll specifications.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure proper production and product quality.
• Inspect finished rolls for defects, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
• Measure and verify roll dimensions, tension, and overall product quality.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot operational issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and report equipment issues to supervisors.
• Follow all safety procedures and company production guidelines.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Assist with material handling and moving finished rolls throughout the production area.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating slitter/rewinder machinery or similar production equipment preferred.
• Experience with plastic film, flexible packaging, or manufacturing materials is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow production instructions and machine specifications.
• Basic mechanical and machine adjustment skills preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move large rolls of plastic film as required.
• Comfortable standing, bending, reaching, and moving for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
• Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic.
