Location: Irving, TX 75063
Pay Rate: $20.00–$22.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Lead Machine Operator / Production Lead Trainee to operate and monitor plastic manufacturing equipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.
This position is ideal for someone with strong manufacturing experience who is interested in growing into a Production Lead position. The ideal candidate will have machine operation experience, basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills, strong attendance, and the ability to demonstrate leadership and initiative in a production environment.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Must be flexible as production needs change.
- Schedule may transition to a 4x12 schedule in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment.
- Set up machines and make basic process adjustments.
- Monitor product quality and identify defects.
- Troubleshoot minor machine or production issues.
- Assist with machine start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Complete production and quality documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.
- Support the production team in meeting daily goals.
- Demonstrate leadership, reliability, and initiative with the potential to take on additional responsibilities.
General Requirements
- Previous machine operator or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with blow molding, injection molding, or plastics manufacturing is a plus.
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attendance and dependability.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Previous lead, trainer, or supervisory experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must be interested in growth opportunities and taking on additional responsibilities.
