Schedule: $17 Hourly
Compensation: Day/Night Shifts – Monday to Sunday,
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM / 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Location: Dallas, TX 75237
Position Overview:
The Thermoforming Machine Operator Assistant plays a key role in supporting the setup, operation, and maintenance of thermoforming machines to ensure smooth and efficient production. This hands-on position involves staging materials, performing quality checks, documenting downtime, assisting in troubleshooting, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. The role demands strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with machine setup and operation to meet production specifications and timelines
- Monitor machine performance and assist with troubleshooting or repairs
- Perform roll changes and ensure correct materials are staged
- Operate grinders and scan roll labels in real-time for accurate tracking
- Document downtime and complete all required production paperwork
- Support quality inspections, including re-inspection of any quality issues
- Cover operator breaks/lunches and help maintain continuous machine operation
- Maintain clean work areas and adhere to food safety and cleanliness standards
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety audits, meetings, and training
- Ensure compliance with all environmental and quality regulations
- Assist in continuous process improvements and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. 6–12 months of experience in thermoforming, machine operation, or manufacturing preferred. Experience in wholesale distribution and food safety practices is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Mechanically inclined with experience using hand and power tools. Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, walk at least 5,000 steps daily, and stand for long periods. Must be physically fit for duty and capable of working in non-climate-controlled environments. Occasional long hours or urgent support may be required. Comfortable with physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, or crawling.
