An established upstream oil & gas operator is seeking a Production Engineer to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective field operations across conventional producing assets. This position will focus on production optimization, artificial lift performance, field collaboration, and enhanced recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities
Production Operations & Optimization
- Support daily production operations across wells and associated facilities
- Troubleshoot production disruptions and minimize downtime
- Analyze well performance and implement optimization strategies
- Monitor lease-level production and operating economics
- Improve production data quality and surveillance processes
Artificial Lift & Well Performance
- Optimize artificial lift systems including rod pumps and ESPs
- Investigate downhole failures and implement corrective actions
- Support workover and stimulation program execution
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce lifting costs
Enhanced Recovery & Injection Operations
- Support waterflood and CO₂ flood programs
- Monitor injection performance and surveillance data
- Collaborate with reservoir and operations teams to maximize recovery
Collaboration & Field Support
- Work closely with field operations, vendors, and engineering teams
- Provide technical guidance during operational activities
- Support safe and efficient execution of field programs
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Utilize production surveillance tools such as XSPOC and SCADA
- Drive operational improvement initiatives
- Track production trends, failures, and performance metrics
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
- 5 years of production engineering experience within upstream oil & gas
- Experience with artificial lift systems (rod pumps and/or ESPs)
- Strong understanding of production optimization and field operations
- Experience with workovers, stimulation programs, and production surveillance systems
Preferred
- Experience working with conventional reservoirs and mature assets
- Exposure to waterflood or CO₂ flood operations
- Familiarity with XSPOC, SCADA, and production data systems

- Combination of office and field-based work
- Hybrid schedule may be considered
- Candidates located near Cortez, CO preferred
