A rapidly growing mechanical contractor specializing in multifamily residential construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout North Carolina. Position
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of multifamily mechanical construction projects. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between ownership, general contractors, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple HVAC and mechanical construction projects simultaneously
- Develop and maintain project schedules and milestones
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and profitability
- Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials
- Lead subcontractor and vendor relationships
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
- Conduct project meetings and progress reporting
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Support field leadership and resolve project challenges proactively
- Manage project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation
Qualifications
- 5 years of Project Management experience in mechanical or HVAC construction
- Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and building systems
- Experience managing budgets and project financials
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
Preferred
- Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree
- Design-Build or Design-Assist project experience
- Experience with projects valued at $5M–$50M
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
