Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR team in delivering comprehensive human resources services across the organization. The Human Resources Assistant will play a vital role in supporting talent acquisition, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and HR data management.
Responsibilities
- Assist with talent acquisition processes including sourcing candidates through various channels, scheduling interviews, and maintaining applicant tracking systems such as ATS or Workday.
- Support employee orientation programs by preparing materials, conducting onboarding sessions, and ensuring new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.
- Maintain accurate HR records through data entry and management within HRIS platforms.
- Coordinate employee evaluation processes and assist managers with performance management activities aligned with organizational goals.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, workers' compensation claims, and leave policies such as FMLA.
- Support compliance efforts related to employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, affirmative action planning, and other legal requirements.
- Contribute to project management initiatives related to human capital management, change management strategies, and organization design projects.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management to address employee relations issues and conflict resolution effectively.
- Assist with payroll processing using systems like Paychex or ADP, ensuring accurate data collection and timely submissions.

Skills
- Strong knowledge of human resources management principles including talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, and succession planning.
- Familiarity with HR sourcing tools.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or UltiPro; experience with payroll systems like Paychex or ADP.
- Understanding of employment & labor law regulations including FMLA, OSHA standards, workers' compensation policies, and contract administration.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with employees at all levels and facilitating training & development sessions.
- Experience in benefits administration and HR data collection for reporting purposes; familiarity with social media management for employer branding is a plus.
